Broadsight Systems, Inc. is a North Carolina based manufacturer of mechanical and electro-mechanical products, machined parts, metal fabricated parts, custom product and parts design.  Main industry focus is the electronic security industry with an emphasis on video product accessories.  Design center and production facilities are located in Mebane, NC.

 

Broadsight Systems, Inc. is seeking a Technical Sales Representative. This position is responsible for actively driving and managing the sales process, working in conjunction with the engineering and operations as the key technical advisor and product advocate for a wide range of products and engineering service offerings. The person in this position must be able to articulate technical engineering information, specifications, standards, and create marketing data for use, both internally and externally. The job incumbent must be able to identify all technical issues to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of projects. In addition, the right candidate must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the complete sales cycle. 

 

Summary

 

This individual would be responsible for selling company products and services to existing customers and developing opportunities with new customers across multiple industry disciplines.

  • Represent Broadsight Systems, Inc. in a professional manner.
  • Perform presentations and demonstrations of company products or services at customer locations.
  • Collaborate with customers and engineers to assess part or product engineering needs and to determine specifications and requirements.
  • Help clients solve problems with engineered product solutions that resolve the issues discovered.
  • Develop a network of referrals to capture opportunities for adding new customers.
  • Maintain a strong network of OEM dealers to enhance opportunities and promote their products.
  • Conduct a targeted minimum number of in-person customer visits per week.
  • Manage call schedule in an efficient manner to maximize customer visits.
  • Maintain accurate records including sales visits, expense reports, customer profiles and other documentation.
  • Provide accurate information to operations to eliminate mistakes in manufacturing.
  • Attend training for sales and products as needed.
  • Remain current on product and service offerings.
  • Be the front-line for market condition changes and share with management.

 

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Experience in engineering, machining, and metal fabrication is required for this position
  • Strong technical skills with successful industrial sales experience is ideal
  • Professional demeanor and appearance

  • Good team player
  • High level of integrity and work ethic
  •  Ability to utilize Microsoft products and CRM software
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Willingness to travel and stay overnight frequently
  • Currently reside in the RDU to Triad corridor of NC
  • Technical Trade Certification required, Industrial Technology or Engineering Degree preferred
  • Willingness to put in up to 60% travel including overnights within North America as needed
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs

3+ Years in Industrial Sales and experience in metal machining/fabrication are required.
