Allied Vision Technologies (AVT) is a leading manufacturer of digital machine vision cameras with FireWire, Gigabit Ethernet (GigE) and Camera Link interface. The P-Iris control optimizes the image quality by enabling the best iris position to be set based on multiple factors. Thermal Imaging for High End Security

These high performance Thermal Imaging Cameras capture high-quality video in low or zero-light conditions. By using an extended microbolometer detector the interpolated heat signature emitted from any subject is displayed as a video image in real-time.

COMMACK, NY — Not only do CBC Flooring’s new installation accessories tell a great green story, their packaging does as well.

As part of its EcoVision policy to seek out and source the most sustainable flooring products available, CBC Flooring is now offering a family of environmentally friendly flooring adhesives and accessories which come in recycled packaging called EcoBox. These new products offer superior performance, are solutions to critical installation challenges and may contribute to LEED® credits on a project.

“We are committed to finding not just flooring products, but accessories that fit our vision of reducing waste, using recycled material and contributing to LEED credits,” said Chip Braulick, senior marketing manager for CBC Flooring. “Our EcoBox packaging and the products packaged in it are designed to do just that.”

Four new accessories are part of the EcoBox family of products:

CBC 5100 Recycled Limestone and Homogeneous Tile Adhesive – A pressure-sensitive adhesive which contains a remarkable 22 percent recycled content, including 20 percent post-consumer.
CBC 5000 Premium Resilient Flooring Adhesive – An installer-friendly adhesive that performs as both a wet-set and pressure-sensitive adhesive with enhanced performance. Ideal for both rubber sheet and tile as well as commercial sheet vinyl and luxury vinyl tile.
CBC 5600 Hurry Up! Concrete Moisture Sealer – Designed to work with CBC 5000 where excessive moisture levels and/or alkaline levels exist. Raises the RH value to 90 percent and alkali to11.0 pH.
CBC 5700 Cover Up! Cutback and Adhesive Residue Encapsulator – A high strength acrylic polymer compound formulated to isolate cutback, multipurpose, pressure-sensitive and other types of old adhesive residue that could affect the bond of the new floor.

All products contain zero calculated VOCs and contribute to LEED IEQ Credit 4.1 for Low-Emitting Materials – Adhesives, and all have virtually no odor making them suitable for use in sensitive environments like healthcare and educational settings.

The packaging, EcoBox, is made of recycled fiber and is 100 percent recyclable. Its plastic liner weighs just .23 pounds. In comparison, a plastic bucket and lid, the traditional container for adhesive, weighs 2.6 pounds in a landfill.

The new packaging allows adhesive to be squeezed from the liner, reducing the amount of residue left behind. The amount of adhesive left in an EcoBox liner averages .25 pounds, as compared to 1.7 pounds of residue in a plastic bucket. In addition, the liner can be tied off and saved for future use, further reducing waste.

EcoBox also gives flooring contractors and installers the convenience of on-site disposal of their cardboard packaging waste. Statistics show about 600 million plastic pails end up in landfills per year. Most job sites do not allow for disposal of these types of containers.

“With less waste in our landfills, everyone benefits,” said Braulick.

COMMACK, NY — Architects and specifiers seeking the beauty of wood flooring and the performance of vinyl can find both in TOLI’s newly updated Lightwood line.

Lightwood has recently undergone an update of colors and textures, resulting in 19 new SKUs. TOLI’s luxury vinyl tile line, which includes Lightwood, Lightwood RE and Lightstone, was the first true commercial luxury tile on the market.

“Lightwood and Lightstone have enjoyed use in healthcare, retail and education markets in North America for close to 20 years,” said Chip Braulick, senior marketing manager for CBC Flooring. “With these new colors and realistic textures, Lightwood is a great choice for the end user who wants a luxury vinyl tile with the assurance of a tried-and-true product. COMMACK, N.Y. — TOLI Mature commercial sheet flooring, from CBC Flooring, now offers more than just a good-looking, sanitary floor.

Mature’s enhanced wear surface offers the performance and maintenance options building owners need, while new design options provide designers colors never before seen to complement the ageless traditional ones in the line since its initial launch.

Adding 36 new colors allows the commercial sheet vinyl flooring line to offer a total of 51 colorways. Non-wood prints include subtle mottling; soft, neutral patinas; bolder stones like slate and marble; and a linen fabric with organic influences. Mature’s enhanced wood collection includes two exotic species, wenge and zebrawood, along with bamboo, rustics and updated stains that are on the cutting edge of new design trends.

“Mature is, without question, the best looking print commercial sheet flooring in the world,” said Jeff Collum, director of flooring for CBC. “The clarity of the print film is superior to other traditional rotogravure sheet vinyl products. And the new polyurethane coating makes the floor more durable and even enhances its visual appeal. In addition, the natural embossing mimics perfectly the texture found on wood planks, stones and even slate.”

The new cross-linked polyurethane wear surface means that Mature never needs to be stripped. It creates three options for ongoing maintenance: no finish, using a cleaner/maintainer or an applied on-site finish.

With 10 percent post-consumer and 16 percent pre-consumer recycled content, Mature supports sustainability initiatives, contributing to LEED® credits for recycled content and indoor air quality. It is also California Section 01350 compliant, the basis for many indoor air quality certifications.

When Mature was originally introduced to the marketplace more than 20 years ago, it set the standard for healthcare flooring because of its ability to preserve a sanitary environment, along with exceptional durability and stain, tear and indentation resistance.
